What is referred to as a 'Tool'?
Each tool covers one legal act and all material that is related to it. For Example, the MiFID II Tool covers the text of MiFID II and all related Level 2 acts with all features. Additionally, for each article, you will find all related documents of the European authorities that are based on the article or specify it. A 'Tool' refers to this set of documents and legal texts that have been organized and made more accessible through interlinkage and additional features.
What are Related documents?
'Related documents' are documents relevant to specific articles. Within the database, they are linked to specific article pages of the legal acts. These documents could be web pages, Q&As, Guidelines, Opinions or Decisions among others.
What are Level 2 legal acts and how do I find them in the judict database?
Level 2 legal acts are all Implementing Technical Standards and Regulatory Technical Standards, Implementing Acts and Delegated Acts that our algorithms have detected. They are linked on the right side of the article of the legal act which they relate to. Additionally, you can find all Level 2 legal acts in relation to a legal act like MiFID II or EMIR using the search bar on the table of contents page of that legal act.
What do the icons in the Table of Contents stand for?
- Related documents: This icon indicates that our algorithms have detected at least one Related document for the respective article.
Q&A- Questions & Answers: This icon indicates that our algorithms have detected at least one Q&A published by EBA, ESMA or EIOPA for the respective article.
GL- Guidelines: This icon indicates that our algorithms have detected Guidelines published by EBA, ESMA or EIOPA for the respective article.
RTS/ITSRTSITSDAIAL2- Level 2: This icon indicates that our algorithms have detected Implementing Technical Standards (ITS) and/or Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS), Delegated Act (DA), Implementing Act (IA) or other Level 2 (L2) acts based on the respective article.
How do I logout of a usage session?
You can log out in the account settings by clicking on the button 'logout'.
What search functions/bars does judict offer and what can I find with them?
judict provides two distinct search bars. Located at the top left corner of every Level 1 or Level 2 legal act, the first search bar allows you to perform a targeted search within the text of the specific legal act you are viewing. Additionally, the Table of Contents page for each Level 1 legal act features a second search bar. This enables you to search for and directly access all Level 2 legal acts that are either based on or related to the Level 1 legal act you are currently examining.
